I have to admit there are times when running Debian testing bites me. Like today, when I had to reboot my computer, and when it comes back up, all my X keycodes had changed — scrambling my custom key mappings across random other keys — and tapping on my touchpad no longer worked1. Le sigh.
Update: Ah, and now it works, via TapButton1. Just not when I set it in my
xorg.conf, only by synclient. So now I just need to never reboot again.
1 TapButton1 had become "0". I reset it to "1", but that doesn't seem to have
improved matters. At least I have buttons I can click in the meantime.
